Chatterbox asked: I have great credit and want to refinance again. I'm the perfect customer for any loan. So why do I have to do all the leg-work to find the best rate? Anywhere where there are lenders & rates of supply; ¿points face to face in an effort to get my business? (Spam disclose - so don 't of discomfort with that!) I 'm making a lot of research but I' m afraid missing out on sharing the best because I just can 't look for, everywhere! "!

Carrie G asked: I still owe on the mortgage for my current house and am planning to buy a new house (and try to keep my current house).
Instead of borrowing from my 401k for the down payment, my mortgage guy suggested I refinance my current house (as a primary residence to get a better rate) then apply for the mortgage for my new house.
I told someone about this and they said doing that would be fraud because I’m refinancing my current house as a primary residence and I need to live here for a year.
Is this true? How much trouble could I get in?
Thanks.
I’m trying to rent my current house through a realtor - so there is an MLS for it (don’t know if that makes a difference)

Jenga! asked: In May of 2003, my husband and I bought a house. We got an 80/20 loan to cover the cost. 80% of the loan is a fixed 5.25% rate. 20% of the loan started at 6.25% and currently sits at 9.25&. The loan is going to readjust next May. Is the 20% loan considered a second mortgage? How can I refinance it now and get a reasonable rate? My husband and I have near-excellent credit.
P.S. as a side note, the house we have the mortgage on is currently worth roughly $20,000 less than we paid for it, so rolling the loans together is out of the question.

deedee asked: Current rate of ARM interest is 5.125%. Would it better to go for 6.75% mortgage refinance at no closing costs, if I am planning to live in the same house for next 7 to 10 years?

clf224 asked: What are the pros and cons of refinancing? I recently inherited a house and am almost done paying the mortgage. Should I refinance (and if so, do what with the money?) or just pay the house off? Please advise.

mochachreme asked: I’ve got a mortgage that is in a repayment status under a forebearance plan, but they want to modify the loan and put what I currently owe on the back of the loan. I want to know if another mortgage company will refinance me with the loan currently being behind (although payments have been made as agreed through the plan).
Thanks for your help!!!
